Give a Gift to a Cancer Fighter

What is Our Gift Program?

Fighting cancer is a very hard job. It’s easy to get lost in the many appointments, treatments and the constant side effects that come with a cancer diagnosis. Cancer is a 24/7 ordeal and many times these fighters find themselves feeling alone, sad, or just plain down.

You can help!!! You can make a difference and bring a smile to these awesome people!

Become a CancerScore gift giver and send cards or small gifts as well as those smiles to those battling cancer.

When you become a part of our gift program, we will provide you with the names, stories, and pictures, of men, women, and children battling cancer. When one or more of these stories touch you, simply let us know and we will provide you with the mailing address. This is a direct way for YOU to help the many in need. And I can promise you, it will be as rewarding for you as it is appreciated by those who receive your gifts.

There are no membership fees, no minimum requirements, "adoptions", etc. You read the stories and send a card or a small gift to those who touch you. You can choose as many of the featured profiles as you wish. There is no limit and there is no obligation at all.

There is a short application form (highlighted in yellow) at the bottom of the page . Simply fill in your information and SUBMIT* to us you will automatically be added to our database. You will then begin receiving the weekly email with a list of cancer fighters in need. When you read a profile that touches you, just let us know and we will send you that person’s contact information.

Again, when you receive an email, you are by no means obligated to send a gift to anyone. When you see someone that sparks your interest, simply send an email to stacy@cancerscoretoday.com and let us know the name you’d like to contact. We will get back to you with the necessary information. It's as simple as that!

We do ask that you confirm that you sent an item so all individuals receive support and gifts as they fight this battle.

*If you would rather send your information to us via email instead of using the form please send an email to stacy@cancerscoretoday.com

CancerScore Today's Holiday Card Program

A unique choice for giving, CancerScore Today's Holiday Card Program strives to recognize and celebrate holidays, seasons, and special occasions in a connected, convenient way. In addition to Christmas and Thanksgiving, donors can send cards for birthdays, anniversaries, thank you notes, and weddings. CancerScore Today also works with donors interested in recognizing many other types of occasions.

Here's how it works:

  • Donors order cards through our office.  Download and print our Holiday Card form.
  • Donors send CancerScore Today a mailing list with a minimum $2.00 donation per card.
  • CancerScore Today will personally address and mail your card.  Each card contains a message inside that gratefully acknowledges a contribution made from the sender in honor of the receiver.
  • CancerScore Today then sends a tax receipt for the donor's records.

Donations, Honorariums, Memorials, etc.

Because we are a non-profit organization, we depend on donations from the community in order to pay for the services we offer cancer patients. We are a 501 (c)(3) organization, which means everything you donate is tax deductible at the end of the year.

One of the most popular ways to donate is through honorariums and memorials. Making a donation to CancerScore Today is a meaningful way to honor or remember someone special. A gift given in the name of another reflects a unique loyalty and caring respect. More importantly, it communicates to the world the honoree's positive impact on others, particularly those who remember them through giving to others.

Upon receipt, CancerScore Today will promptly announce your donation to the recipient.

Donations of all amounts are most welcome, however, we do respectively ask that you consider a minimum of $5.00. All donations are tax deductible and you will receive a receipt confirming your donation.

All donations can be sent to:

One of the many things CancerScore Today does is book free travel and lodging for newly diagnosed cancer patients who are traveling for second opinions, or for cancer patients who need to travel for treatment in another area. We know how many things you have on your mind, and this is one burden we are able to take off and provide for you. Below are some of the resources we use, should you like to contact them on your own. If you would like us to provide this service for you, please contact Stacy@cancerscoretoday.com

Their mission is to ease the emotional stress, physical discomfort, and financial burden of travel for cancer patients. Free flights to cancer treatment centers are provided by using the empty seats on corporate aircraft that are flying on routine business. All cancer patients, bone marrow donors and recipients who are able to walk and do not need medical support while traveling are eligible for services. Eligibility is not based on financial need. Patients may travel as often as necessary.

Joe's House is a nonprofit organization that allows survivors, their families and caregivers to search for places to stay when traveling to another city for treatment. By selecting the city you are traveling to or the name of the healthcare facility where you will receive treatment, you can view a list of hotels, nonprofit housing, homes, apartments, and motels near the healthcare center. Information includes each location's price and distance from the treatment facility. If medical discount prices are offered, that information is listed and you will receive instructions on how to make a reservation to receive the medical discount (remember, if this is done through CancerScore Today, we will pay for the lodging). You can go online or call the organization's toll-free number. The website also includes a list of other cancer resources.
